Foundation KANARA International

Relief built upon dignity.

A humanitarian aid and support foundation providing practical help, relief, advocacy, restoration and pathways towards stability for people and communities experiencing hardship, displacement, exploitation, disaster and crisis.

Foundation KANARA International

Who We Are

Humanitarian support without distance or indifference.

Foundation KANARA International exists to provide practical help and relief where human life has been disrupted by poverty, abandonment, exploitation, homelessness, disaster, displacement, illness, exclusion or loss.

Our work is shaped by the belief that humanitarian assistance must protect human dignity. Support should not end with a temporary response. Wherever possible, it should also create a pathway towards safety, stability, reintegration, independence and renewed participation in society.

The foundation brings together fundraising, practical aid, advocacy, guidance, partnerships and long-term support to respond to both urgent distress and the deeper circumstances that keep people trapped in instability.

We give where there is need, help where there is distress, and work towards restoration where circumstances have taken away stability, opportunity or hope.

Our Mission

To give. To help. To restore.

The mission of Foundation KANARA International is to raise and responsibly direct funds, resources, practical assistance and professional support towards individuals and communities facing severe humanitarian need.

We respond to immediate suffering while also developing pathways through which people can recover stability, rebuild independence and move forward with dignity.

Foundation KANARA International provides and develops humanitarian support internationally, with present and developing areas of focus including Nigeria, Kenya, the Philippines, New Zealand, Bulgaria, Romania, Türkiye, Syria and Israel.

Our long-term goal is to expand carefully into additional countries and communities as reliable partnerships, responsible structures, appropriate resources and genuine needs are identified.

International assistance must be grounded in local reality. KANARA therefore seeks to work with trusted individuals, organisations, professionals, volunteers and communities who understand the needs, culture, risks and practical conditions of each location.

Working beside Under His Feet.

Foundation KANARA International and Under His Feet Ministry are separate but connected bodies of work founded by Ana Aburn-Popova. Neither exists beneath nor above the other. They operate beside one another, with distinct identities, purposes and areas of service.

Foundation KANARA International focuses on humanitarian relief, practical support, fundraising, advocacy, restoration and social reintegration.

Under His Feet Ministry focuses on Christian ministry, prayer, biblical guidance, teaching and spiritual support.

Where appropriate, the two may cooperate in outreach and care while preserving the distinction between humanitarian assistance and explicitly Christian ministry.
